Hey Statement Makers,
It’s been a minute since I’ve checked in with you all, and I wanted to share where I’ve been and what’s been going on in my world. This past month has been all about adjusting and finding balance. Some of you may not know this but, over the past month, I started back working a full-time job. Yep, you read that right! Balancing entrepreneurship and the 9 to 5 life has been quite the journey, and it's one I know a lot of you can relate to.
As a business owner, making the transition from being your own boss to clocking in for someone else can be challenging. I’ll admit, it hasn’t always been easy finding my rhythm between having a job, running Urban Culture Apparel, maintaining a social life, focusing on my health, all while trying to get back in the dating pool...while chile, that's a journey within itself! But, I’m not stopping anytime soon! If anything, it’s pushing me to stay sharp, organized, and more intentional about my time.
In today’s economy, having multiple streams of income is so important, and I’m extremely grateful for this new role. It’s allowing me to build a foundation and continue growing UCA. To all my entrepreneurs out there, remember: It’s okay to have both—a full-time job and a business. Don’t let social media make you feel like you have to choose between the two.
Your 9 to 5 can support your 6 to 10 until your 6 to 10 becomes your main source of income. There’s no shame in that! And don’t let imposter syndrome sneak in and tell you otherwise. We’ve got this!
I’m so excited about what’s next for Urban Culture Apparel and can’t wait to share more with you soon. If you’re out there grinding between your own business and a job, know that you’re not alone. Keep pushing, keep believing, and know that the balance you’re creating is leading you exactly where you’re meant to be.
Stay blessed, stay balanced, and let’s continue making statements—together.
